Whatever contract you choose, the operational procedure for mobilising your gritting service is exactly the same: forecast driven, fully tracked, and evidenced with a job sheet every time we visit.
The process
Using our professional forecasting partners, we get sent daily area forecasts evidencing the road surface temperatures (RST) due the following evening. From there, the same four steps run every time, regardless of which contract you're on.

If the RST is due to fall to your agreed trigger temperature, a gritting job is automatically raised and a service intention email is sent straight to you.
Don't need us that night? Cancel the job with a click. Hear nothing back from you and we grit the site automatically that evening, so nothing gets missed.
Every visit produces a fully time-stamped job sheet, including tracking data from the start to the end of the operation and photos from the specific job. It's sent to you automatically on completion, giving transparent, evidence-based liability protection.
Gritting service types
Both plans run on the same forecast-triggered process above. The difference is simply how the visits are priced.
Pay as you go
Our cost per visit plan is very simple: each time we come to site to carry out gritting operations, we charge you for that visit.
Fixed for the season
Our fixed cost plans give you a fixed fee to cover all winter gritting operations, paid in four instalments across the winter months.
Other service types
Two further services can be added alongside either contract type, priced against your site once we know what's needed.
